Board of Supervisors Public Hearing - October 12, 2023

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 22, §15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia as amended that the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Northumberland County Courts Building (220 Judicial Pl) in Heathsville in order to consider the following requests.

1. Request by Kathy S. Bray, owner for a Conditional Use Permit to construct a 197-foot communications tower on property zoned A-1, Agricultural. The property is shown as Tax Map Parcel # 18-(1)-6 and is located on Newmans Neck Road.

2. TABLED TO NEXT MONTH'S MEETING ON NOVEMBER 9, 2023: Request by AFD LLC dba Virginia Halal Meat Farm, owner, for a Conditional Use Permit to allow an abattoir (commercial slaughterhouse) on property zoned A-1, Agricultural. The property is shown as Tax Map Parcel 7-(1)-46-A and is located on Fruit Plain Road.

3. TABLED TO NEXT MONTH'S MEETING ON NOVEMBER 9, 2023: Request by Mark Malley, owner, for a Conditional Use Permit to construct residential solar exceeding 25 kw on property zoned R-2, Residential Waterfront. The property is shown as Tax Map Parcel #2-(1)-61 and is located at 1530 Mundy Point Road.
