Friends of the Animal Shelter Tax Exemption

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Northumberland County, Virginia will hold a public hearing to receive public input regarding a proposed ordinance to consider designation of the Friends of the Northumberland County Animal Shelter as tax exempt from local real and personal property tax.  The assessed value of the property being considered for tax exemption is listed below:

Real Property:

Tax Map # 27(1)217A1 – assessed value $212,400 : current real estate tax $1,295.64

TOTAL REAL ESTATE TAX: $1,295.64

Personal Property:  
none

The public hearing will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., in the Northumberland County Courts Building at 220 Judicial Place adjacent to the Sheriff’s Department in Heathsville, VA for the purpose of adopting an ordinance.
