Redistricting Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 11, 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia as amended, and the Northumberland County Emergency Ordinance addressing Continuity of Operations during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic,  that the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on March 10, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Northumberland County Courts Building at 220 Judicial Place adjacent to the Sheriff’s Office in Heathsville, VA in order to consider an amendment to Chapter 9 of the Northumberland County Code (Elections Districts and Precincts) to reestablish boundary lines for election districts and precinct boundaries.  The proposed Redistricting Plan will affect all the Election Districts but not the current polling places.  The Proposed Redistricting Plan and any alternate plan will be considered for adoption at this meeting.
