Employment Notice - Chief of Emergency Services
Northumberland County is accepting applications for the position of Chief of Emergency Services. This position performs complex administrative and operational duties involving supervision of the Department of Emergency Services and serves as the County’s Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator. This position requires an associate’s degree in EMS or related field supplemented by five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in emergency medical services or emergency management. Certification as a Paramedic along with other federal and state certifications are required. A valid Virginia DMV license is required, the applicant shall submit a driving record with the employment application. Must possess a current EVOC certification.
