Wetlands Board Public Hearing - February 11, 2025
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, commencing at 7:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:
- Request by Barrett G. Payne, III (V.M.R.C. #24-2887) to install two (2) low-profile armor stone groins each 42 feet channelward of MHW, refurbish two (2) existing groin-like structures, and refurbish 160 linear feet of riprap sill along the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay and 383 Bayberry Lane.
- Request by Walter Hill (V.M.R.C. #24-2689) to install 104 linear feet of riprap sill along the shoreline of Owens Pond and 239 Watermans Way.
