Planning Commission Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 11, 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia as amended, that the Northumberland County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on July 21, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in order to consider the following:

1. Request by Washington Auto Club, Inc., owners, and Rhetson Companies, Inc., applicant, for a change in zoning district classification to rezone a 3 acre portion of tax map parcel #42-(1)-174B from Agriculture (A-1) to Business General (B-1), in order to construct and operate a 10,640 sq. ft. retail building and associated parking lot. The aforesaid tax map parcel is located on Rt. 200 (Jessie DuPont Memorial Hwy) approximately 1/3 of a mile north of Wicomico Church, VA. Tax parcel #42-(1)-174B is comprised of 11.553 acres. The tax parcel is located in the Wicomico Magisterial District.
