Planning Commission Public Hearing - February 16, 2023

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 11, 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia as amended, that the Northumberland County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the new Courthouse at 220 Judicial Place, Heathsville, VA, and telephonically in order to consider the following:

1) A revision to the Northumberland County Zoning Ordinance § 148-153, Travel Trailers, to delete the definition of Travel Trailers, define recreational vehicles, and rename the Travel Trailer ordinance to the “Recreational Vehicles” ordinance. In addition, create a tent camping zoning ordinance, and make commercial camping (with compensation) a conditional use in A-1, Agriculture, R-2, Residential Waterfront and C-1 Conservation zoning districts. Commercial camping (with compensation) will be prohibited in all other zoning districts.
