Wetlands Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, commencing at 7:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:

1. Request by Anne Daniel (V.M.R.C. #22-1416) to install 300 linear feet of riprap revetment and install two (2) 60’ armor stone breakwaters with beach nourishment and wetland plantings along the shoreline of the South Yeocomico River and 21 Fort Point Lane

2. Request by John M. Deihl (V.M.R.C. #22-1186 & #22-1009) to construct a commercial pier and install 90 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Cockrell Creek and Tax Map Parcel #45-B(1)-11-B on Deep Water Lane.

3. Request by Cary T. Gouldin (V.M.R.C. #22-1245) to install 463 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Hampton Hall Creek and 471 Hatches Avenue.

4. Request by Helen Faye Johnson (V.M.R.C. #22-1401) to install two (2) low-profile timber groins along with four 3’x3’ sections of riprap flank protection along and from the shoreline of Rogers Creek and 281 Rogers Creek Road.
