Wetlands Public Hearing - Requests by Mitchell, NNK Land Conservancy, and Spears - May 9, 2023

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, commencing at 7:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:

1. Request by Steven D. & Wanda A. Mitchell (V.M.R.C. #23-0853) to construct 153 linear feet of vinyl bulkhead along the shoreline of The Glebe and 952 Doctors Point Road.
2. Request by Northern Neck Land Conservancy and Virginia Aquatic Resources Trust Fund (V.M.R.C. #23-0696) to establish a wetland creation/restoration project along the shoreline of Ball Creek and 816 Ball Lane.
3. Request by Kara E. & Kato L. Spears (V.M.R.C. #23-0678) to remove remnants of two groins and install two (2) low-profile vinyl groins each 48 feet from MHW along the shoreline of the Potomac River and 298 Potomac Ridge Road.
